The Council is currently working towards the Draft Local Plan (Regulation 18) stage of the Local Plan process which will set out the detailed policy framework and land use allocations for the Forest of Dean District up to 2041.  

The Draft Local Plan 2041 was approved at Cabinet on 16 May 2024 and Full Council on 30 May 2024. The Draft Local Plan public consultation will commence on 8 July 2024.
